It is with great regret that the Bedlington Terrier Association has had to cancel the ‘Top Bedlingtons of the Year Competition’ on the morning of Sunday May 16th 2010 due to a lack of interest in the event. However, the Committee would like to welcome everyone to all the other activities at the Fun Day which will have something for everyone.
The Bedlington Terrier Association will be producing a calendar for 2011 but the organisation prior to production will be different from previous years.The entries for the photo competition will be sent by post only, these can be sent to:
Mrs Lesley Caines at Garroulds, Sutton under Brailes, Banbury, Oxon, OX15 5BH with an entry fee of £1 per photograph. The closing date for entries is 1st July 2010.

A super day learning how to trim the bedlington with step by step instruction from Peter Kiernan. Everyone got to trim their own dogs and those with experience were on hand to help people learning to trim or new to the breed.
It was fantastic to have professional groomers in attendance learning the finer points of grooming the bedlington. It was a relaxed learning day with a chance to catch up with friends over a hot lunch. We would like to thank Peter Kiernan and the BTA commitee for organising such a successful and fun event!

Yesterday we received the sad news that Christine Bell has passed away, Christine had been suffering from cancer and had recently been undergoing treatment in hospital. Everyone in the show world will know Christine. Christine was an experienced judge and a regular competitor at the major shows. Christine was devoted to the bedlington and will be so very missed by everyone who knew her. In recent years Christine was the backbone and secretary of the Midland Bedlington Terrier club. Our thoughts are with the family at this tragic time.
A service will take place at Clayton St Johns Church, The Avenue, Clayton, Bradford next Thursday 24th September at 12 noon. Cremation will be at Nab Wood Cemetery Bradford at 1.20pm
As a proud Bedlington Terrier owner, I was recently invited by Brent Wright to spend a few hour in the sun with his 8 beautiful Bedlington Terrier Puppies. Hope you enjoy the video I made called “Puppy Love”.
My Bedlington, Toby, passed away on July 21st at 9 years but I know it won’t be long before I have another. Enjoy!
